SATURDAY RIDE to Triple "R" Cafe - DEPARTS QT in Calera I-65 exit 231

Event date:
Sat, 03/08/2025 - 10:30am

Well, here we are – new year and new ride. We’re going to do lunch ride to Triple “R” Café in scenic Rockford, AL – it’s primarily a meat and whatever, but they do have a decent menu so it’s a good selection (yes, we tried the food 😊) – plus banana pudding most days. The ride out is approximately 65 miles and should take about two hours with one stop in Clanton. (I am going to try and avoid US 31 as much as possible) We’ll meet at QT in Calera just off of I-65 at exit 231 - SWC – you’ll see me parked out front - rider meeting at 10:30 am – so get there early to catch up and hang out.

I am taking a different ride back on 231 to 49 to 280 – left turn on 76 toward Columbiana – at that point, the return is 36 miles. If anyone chooses to follow me back this will be a legal HOG ride offering liability insurance if needed until the last person turns off. Your individual coverage ends when you leave the group. You may leave the group ride back at any time at your own discretion and/or by whatever route you prefer. Please call me should you have any questions.

We’ve been on most of the roads at one time or another – this ride has a Johanna scenic rating of 8 out of 10 and there are two railroad crossings. Hope to see you there and remember it’s always more fun when you’re there!!

Road Captain John – 301.788.8257 .  As always remember full tank – empty bladder. Please RSVP on Hog Scan or text me if you plan to attend so I can warn the restaurant. 😊. Remember lets’ ride and have fun!!

(As with all rides, remember to arrive on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a full fuel tank. You must present your current HOG membership card. Rain cancels the ride. Allow yourself enough time for personal needs (restroom, socializing, etc.)
