Welcome to the 2025 Heart of Dixie HOG Valentine Ride.
Destination: Bright Star Restaurant, Bessemer
The ride will start at Heart of Dixie HD. But you don't have to come to the dealership to be able to join this ride. There will be 3 other gathering points in the east, south and west.
Due to the timing of the reservations, our target time to get to Bright Star is between 11:30 - 11:45 am.
KSU at HoD will be 9 am.
Go thru State Park, to CR52, follow to Hwy 11. to Old 280 to the *2nd gathering point: Shell Station 16851 US-280, Chelsea, AL 35043.
From this point, the ride will continue south on CR47 to SR25. We will head towards Calera and meet at the *3rd gathering point at the Shell Station at the I-65 overpass, 11431 Main St, AL-25, Calera, AL 35040.
From this point, we will head west on SR25 through Montevallo and Wilton to Bulldog Bend, CR65. The route will go to West Blocton via CR65 and CR24. Heading north on SR5 to CR27 and Eastern Valley Rd. This will bring us to the *4th gathering point at the Green Pond Texaco 20640 Eastern Valley Rd, Green Pond, AL 35074.
From here we will head to Bright Star and Valentine's lunch.
Overall total time: 2 hrs 33 mins. Overall mileage: 96 miles.
HoD to Shell #1 - 16.8 miles, 33 mins.
Shell #1 to Shell #2 - 23 miles. 30 mins.
Shell#2 to Green Pond Texaco - 38 miles, 1 hour.
Green Pond to Bright Star - 18.4 miles, 29 mins.
Due to the timing of this ride, we need to be ready to go at each location on time. We will endeavor to make up time as we go, so keep your head in the game. Let's ride and have fun.

(As with all rides, remember to arrive on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a full fuel tank. You must present your current HOG membership card. Rain cancels the ride. Allow yourself enough time for personal needs (restroom, socializing, etc.)
Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member. All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
Impairment Policy: The consumption and use of alcohol is a serious personal responsibility involving the safety of family, riding friends and the individual HOG member. Alcohol consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior. Heart of Dixie Chapter #1590 does not allow the use of alcohol or drugs before or during a riding event* and does not furnish alcohol at Chapter rides. Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride. Riders using alcohol or drugs while riding will be asked to leave the ride. It is the responsibility of each Template Chapter member to support the consistent enforcement of this policy
Photography Policy: Photographing, filming, recording and videotaping of activities and events will be occurring Heart of Dixie Chapter events. By entering the H.O.G.® event area, you irrevocably grant permission to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® and its agents to photograph, film, record and/or videotape you and use (and authorize the use of) your name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical or other information in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
